Painting gives Kate Owen, from the Moree district in northern NSW, the freedom from daily routines and expectations, allowing her to express herself through the use of vibrant colour and liberate the jumble of constant ideas clamouring for attention in her mind. The stunning work she creates comes through her subconscious from a love of the unique space around her. It’s important to Kate that her work lifts and heightens people’s mood and experience of the world around them.
